Since the age of two, Horseback riding has not only been my sport, but also my passion. My mom, who also grew up riding and showing on the AA Circuit, introduced me to horses at a very young age and I was immediately hooked. At the age of 7, I started riding competitively, and moved up the ranks on the ponies, and soon, the horses. My proudest accomplishment in the ponies was being top 12 in Zone 3 for the Large Childrens ponies when I was 10. I started riding in Annapolis, Maryland, and during Covid and virtual school, my family and I moved to Florida for four months where I competed at WEC Ocala. After we spent time in Ocala and Naples, we decided to make the move to Sanibel, Florida to be closer to family and the horse world. I continued riding in Ocala, but then decided to move barns to ride closer to home in Naples. My goal has been Maclay Finals since as long as I can remember, and I have been working hard towards those goals, competing in the Big Eq. I am currently qualified for The 2024 Gladstone Cup and 2024 Jumping Seat Finals. I am working hard towards qualifying for Junior Hunter Finals, Dover and Maclay.
I am currently a junior at The Canterbury School in Ft Myers, FL. I am a member of the National Honors Society and National French Honors Society. I am in all Honors classes and AP classes and maintain a 3.55 unweighted GPA. I also am the co-leader of Canterbury’s One Love Foundation Club, which my friend and I started in 2023, and we are the only One Love Club in Southwest Florida. Outside of school and riding, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, and enjoying the island lifestyle on Sanibel.
I believe that riding in college will help propel me towards success in my riding and leadership skills. I am very passionate about working towards finding the right school and riding for an NCAA D1 Equestrian Team. I believe that I have a lot to offer with not only my experience, but also my love of horses and the sport, and my commitment to being a great team player. I feel so thankful for the opportunities that this sport has given me and the life skills I have learned throughout my years riding. I look forward to continuing my future in this sport and I look forward to committing myself to my future team!
